Director John Lasseter, Owen Wilson and the rest of the cast talk about the story of Pixar's Cars 2.
John Lasseter: When we finished the movie Cars, I was traveling around the world doing publicity for the movie. We were in Tokyo and looking at all the light. Going to the roundabouts in Paris. And kept thinking about: if we do another movie, these characters, I would love to take them around the world. So we're here. Cars 2. We get to make another one.
Back into Cars 2
All out favorite characters from Cars are returning. Of course Lightning McQueen voiced by Owen Wilson. Sally Carrera voiced by Bonnie Hunt. Mater, voiced by the great Larry the Cable Guy.
The setting of Cars 2 is a race that Lightning McQueen is invited to called the World Grand Prix. And it takes place in Tokyo Japan, Italy and London England.
Owen Wilson: Mater and I are going global.
