John Lasseter: The setting of Cars 2 is a race that Lightning McQueen is invited to. It's called the World Grand Prix. And it takes place in three fantastic locations. Tokyo, Japan. A seaside town in Italy. And London, England.
This is gonna be a great race! Wish me luck! You go get 'm buddy! Here come the lights. Aah, hang on boys!
You have Rally cars. Raoul Caroule! You have Lamont style sports cars. You have touring cars. Miguel Camino! And you have Formula cars. A Formula car is the fastest. They can break the hardest. The can accelerate the greatest. They're literally the fastest car in the world. Francesco Bernoulli is the World Grand Prix champion.
Owen Wilson: You know, he's very cocky. Someone you really wanna beat.
Lightning McQueen would not have a chance against Francesco. Strong words from a car that is so fragile.
