Bryan Cranston: The script for Drive is what really drove me to this film. It's compelling. It was fun. The driving sequences, the chase sequences. It wasn't difficult to wanna be a part of that and work with Nicolas Refn. And a character that was truly a character. That I could dive into and become this other man, you know.

Adam Siegel: Bryan Cranston, completely Nicolas’ idea. He had been a fan of Breaking Bad. And he knew he didn't want a Mickey from Rocky type character saying: you go. And Bryan brought a realism to the character. And a groundedness. And a notion of sort of a hustler.

Nicolas Winding Refn: Bryan is very much the kind of actor, where it's not just a voice. It's everything that comes with it.

Part of it is to have this legbrace, where Shannon had a bad deal go down. Nicolas was amazing in his collaboration. Trust the actors to know their characters. Know the story. And bring something every day. It's not an someone saying: you do this, shut up, answer the phone, walk over there. Do it now! You know, he's like: I don't know. What do you think?

Ryan Gosling: Yeah, Bryan is, he's just one of the best actors around. He's creative. Such a funny... it's an incredibly memorable character.

It's a cautionary tale. All the the characters who have a downturn, really brought it on themselves. For me, and maybe it's my age, I don't know. If this movie was just about fast cars driving around crashing. Stealing money. Shooting. I wouldn't be interested. Care about these characters. You root for them. You cringe when they're in trouble. And then you mourn if something bad happens. It's fast. It's crazy. It's fun.

High Definition Drive featurette (2:22 minutes) added to the Film On Air video catalog on September 14th, 2011.
